Although many expected Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck to give each other another chance, it seems that the divorce is still going ahead. It was recently reported that the former couple met with a well-known lawyer , who could be mediating the dissolution of their marriage. While the process is still ongoing, the actor has remained focused on his professional projects and on his role as a father. Proof of this is that he was recently caught with Fin , one of his offspring, preparing for one of the favorite celebrations of many: Halloween.
On September 27, Ben and Fin were photographed visiting the Spirit Halloween store in Brentwood, apparently looking for costumes. They were accompanied by a couple of the teenager’s friends, with whom he has already been seen on more than one occasion.
Although Halloween is still more than a month away, it seems that the actor and Fin wanted to get ahead of themselves by finding the ideal costume. Ben was seen walking ahead of the kids, who were chatting happily. This is not the first time that the Oscar winner has accompanied one of his children on outings, as it is very important for him to be there for them.
Fin, 15, is close friends with Emme Muñiz , one of Ben’s ex-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez’s twins. While the singer and actor decided to go their separate ways two years after getting married, their children remain in touch. “They hope to remain friends and be in each other’s lives ,” a source told Entertainment Tonight a few weeks ago.
Emme didn’t accompany Fin on his recent outing, but it wouldn’t be surprising if they were spotted partying together in the near future in Hollywood. Jennifer and Ben are reportedly happy to see the kids keep their good relationship going, and are willing to support them. They just want their kids to know “how loved they are and that they will be supported from all sides as they navigate their new normal ,” the insider told ET .
Ben is where he wants to be
Last week it was revealed that Ben has begun moving into his new home, after spending a few months living in a rental house. In July it was revealed that the 52-year-old actor had purchased a $20.5 million home located on the border of Brentwood and Pacific Palisades.
According to a source cited by People , the actor was very happy about this change. “He is where he wants to be: close to his children and in a neighborhood that he loves .” Apparently, the Argo star has chosen to focus on the good things amid his split from JLo. “He also enjoys working and focuses a lot on the positive aspects,” said the insider.
Weeks ago, Entertainment Tonight reported that Ben’s move would be a very positive thing for him. “ Ben really likes his new home and is feeling hopeful about the move. He wanted to move in and be closer to Jen Garner (his ex) and their kids so co-parenting would be easier,” a source said.
