Jeff Bezos is making a splash. The eccentric owner of Amazon recently acquired an incredible $80 million plane, which is considered one of the most powerful and fastest in the world, reaching speeds close to the speed of sound. And as expected, the tycoon and his wife , Lauren Sanchez , have already taken their first ride aboard this incredible plane , as it was recently seen at Van Nuys Airport in Los Angeles.
According to TMZ , Jeff and Lauren flew to Los Angeles to meet up with Kris Jenner and Corey Gamble, with whom they went on a double date. The couple arrived in the city aboard the brand new Gulfstream G700, which is known for reaching a top speed of over 1,000 miles per hour, which is 92.5 percent closer to the speed of sound.
The aircraft was acquired by Bezos last July and, in addition to its speed, the aircraft stands out for its luxury equipment, designed to offer maximum comfort to its passengers and crew. It has five living areas, including a master suite with a bed, bathroom and shower, as well as a dining room, cabin, lounge and a rest area for the crew.
Jeff’s private jet features leather seats, a high-end kitchen, and custom finishes, as well as wood trim throughout the cabin. And while it is one of the most powerful and fastest planes in the world, TMZ details that the aircraft is whisper-quiet inside. Notably, Bezos has two other private planes in his garage, though not as sleek and sophisticated as the one he recently purchased.
