It Has Just Been Released On Netflix And Has Already Become The Most Watched Romantic Comedy

Netflix never ceases to surprise with its wide catalog . Suspense, romance, horror, action, children’s, true stories, documentaries, classic productions and even premieres, all have their space within the platform; but this time, a comedy series is the one that took all the ovation .

On Thursday, September 26, Nobody Wants This landed on the streaming giant and, within hours, it became a favorite of several generations. The American fiction has 10 chapters and portrays the story of Joanne, an agnostic podcast host, and Noah, an unconventional rabbi who has just broken up with his partner, who meet at a party . They leave the place together and, despite their differences, they sense that there is something between them. But they also realize that there are many things that could get in the way of their romance, such as their opposing perspectives on life, the challenges of modern relationships, and the interference of their relatives – including Joanne’s sister Morgan and Noah’s brother Sasha.

“A new series of romantic entanglements set in an urban environment and contrasts between believers and atheists. It doesn’t reinvent the genre, but it offers pleasant entertainment”; “Kristen Bell and Adam Brody’s cheerful romantic comedy is as funny as When Harry Met Sally (…)”; “It focuses on an alternative vision of the theme of opposite poles (…) It also invites the public to subvert their expectations about the ideal couple or relationship” and “The passionate streaming romantic comedy that everyone has been wanting for years, or at least everyone who watched and swooned watching the second season of Fleabag ” , were just some of the comments from film critics that generated even more expectations for Netflix subscribers.

Another reason why it revolutionized fans is that it is the true story of Erin Foster, the creator herself. “ This series is based on the only good decision I have ever made: falling in love with a nice Jewish boy . But I realized that being happy is much harder than being miserable, there is nothing to complain about. So I created this series based on all the ways in which finding the right person can be so difficult ,” she explained in statements to Netflix.

She clarified: “The series is not making any political statement because I am not the person to make that statement. I did not grow up Jewish, I became one as an adult. I wanted to tell a Jewish story, but from the perspective of someone who chose Judaism .”
